Russian warship

Memes about the Russian warship tend to relate to one of two events. More recent memes tend to refer to the sinking of the Moskva, the flagship Russia's Black Sea Fleet. Ukrainian military forces were able to sink this symbolically and strategically important ship in April 2022, and this is seen as a major early victory for Ukrainian forces in their fight against Russia's invasion. Earlier memes about Russian warships tend to refer to a communication between the Moskva and a Ukrainian border guard on Snake Island, in which the guard, Roman Hrybov, told the Moskva "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" ("Русский военный корабль, иди на хуй") on February 24, 2022, the first day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This phrase instantly became a slogan of Ukrainian resistance against Russia both in Ukraine and abroad.
